If you love Beauty and Subscription boxes but haven’t heard of Coloristiq* already then you need to read on. For £9.99 a month they offer a nail polish rental service where you get to use and trial three different nail polishes from brands such as China Glaze, OPI, Essie and Morgan Taylor. Ideal for those who want to experiment before you buy, but also perfect for girls like me who don’t have much space. Some of you may have dream dressing tables and acrylic storage (which I will one day!), however for anyone else who lives in a rented flat you can hopefully empathise with how hard it is to find room. I like to try before I buy; same with any other Beauty product. Due to minimal space this subscription box is great to experiment with new colours and brands to see what you want to purchase or just to keep you going each month without taking up any room.
As you can see from the information you receive, Coloristiq allow you to do three applications of two coats on both hands per bottle. Due to the quality brands and colours this should be adequate enough to trial the polishes; well it certainly was for me anyway. I do a base coat of a clear polish, apply two coats of the chosen colour and then another layer of clear polish to help sustain the polish. You receive a pre-paid postage label so you can pop the polishes back in the same box you received, reducing waste and also allowing for a quick return rate.
The polishes arrive safe in the yellow netting, so make sure you keep them for when you return. When you purchase your subscription you can add brands and colours to your wishlist so Coloristiq know what you like and want to receive. which is ideal for me as certain colours don’t suit me. I was lucky enough to receive three very festive colours from China Glaze, a brand I hadn’t actually tried before receiving the box
shocker I know!
‘Define Good…’ was my favourite colour from the trio, and I decided to layer the polish with Azature Diamonds for a sparkly, festive ‘Nails of the day’!
