I styled today’s look for an Autumn day. The weather isn’t quite into the swing of true Autumnal breezes so wearing a dress without tights or layers was perfectly acceptable. I thought the gold worked really well against the beige suede and the tassel design without taking too much away from each individual piece.

When wearing a specific style that speaks for itself, sometimes it’s easy to just ALLOW it to well…speak for itself, so sometimes I get into a Fashion state of mind that scares me out of styling certain trends. I won’t wear jewellery, I will tone down my make-up and sometimes it’s completely unnecessary. This is why I loved taking the risk with styling a dress that already had tassels as a focal point, and were paired with another trend- studs. The necklace actually went perfectly with the dress, perhaps because of the neutral tones.

I styled my hair with a braid, lightly messed up curls and a side bun pre-empting bad weather and was instead greeted by sunshine! If you read my post a few days ago you will know how much I am loving plaits and braids for this season, and they are such an easy look for anyone to create.

I feel very lucky to have been able to share the release of the Xavier necklace before release and hope you will all go check it out on Monday, especially have a little browse of the site as there really are some gems to be purchased.
